Coil fittings – UPDATE

Unfortunately we have a long waiting list for coil fittings at present. In order to ensure we give the best care please follow the advice below:

Need a coil fitted or changed?

If you’re looking to have a coil fitted or changed, and you use it for contraception (even if you also use it for other reasons, like managing periods or as part of HRT), please contact the sexual health clinic to arrange this in the first instance as they will be able to offer you an appointment sooner.

Already have a coil and need a replacement?

If you have a coil, and you’re not using it for contraception, please contact us about 3 months before it’s due for replacement so we can help plan the change in time.

Removal and no fitting?

If you just require a removal and not a fit this can be booked via our usual appointment booking system as there are no waiting lists for this procedure.
