The practice
nurses can advise on all aspects of
travel health in order to help
reduce the risk of some of the
diseases that can be contracted
abroad.
This includes:
Vaccinations
Malaria – advice specific to the
country/region you are visiting
(a private prescription can be
issued for anti-malarial tablets
if needed)
Specific health advice for
chronic diseases, pregnancy,
children etc
Most vaccines are
free but occasionally more
specialist vaccines are required and
these are charged for accordingly.
For advice before you make an
appointment you can call NHS direct
on
0845 46 47 or visit
www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk
This will give you some idea of the
vaccinations you may need.
