nurses attached to the practice who
give advice on health care to
families with young children.
Your health visitor
is allocated according to where you
live. Please telephone reception to
check where your health visitor is
based.
Community Midwives

Our attached midwives hold
regular antenatal clinics.
Your midwife will work in
conjunction with your doctor to
ensure that you and your baby remain
healthy. She will be involved
throughout your pregnancy from 6 -10
weeks and up to 28 days after your
baby is born. Your midwife will
provide advice, support and
information to enable you to make
informed decisions in relation to
issues affecting your pregnancy.

The Community nurses provide nursing
care for patients in their own
homes.
Counsellor
The counselling service
is available to patients over the
age of 18.

- These specialist nurses are
available for short term
interventions for patients with
mild depression, anxiety,
stress, bereavement and many
other problems. Referrals are
made by the doctor.
