Phlebotomy (Blood taking)

We employ 2 health care assistants who carry out most of the blood testing in the practice. If your doctor or nurse has asked you to have a blood test, see reception to make an appointment. If you require a fasting blood test, you will be given an appointment as early as possible in the morning. Blood tests cannot be taken after 2pm as they are collected and taken to the hospital and cannot be stored overnight.
